TL DR - over an hour of trying to get decent controls within the game, steam, and looking for solutions without finding one, more trouble than it's worth even at 80% off I'm not trying to use their technical support direct contact email, and if it doesn't work will be applying for a refund. Looking through the discussion posts, this seems like another issue the developers are weirdly adamant about not adressing, as they direct you to their support page, which does not have any mention of controller connection. There are no issues connecting it to any other game. However, nothing I try will get the game to recognise my controller. This might have been excusable if my playstation controller was able to connect since the game does indicate controller is the intended method of play. There is no indication when launching the game that 'J' is the default button to select options in the menu so I had to google how to get past the starting menu, which is a very strange choice of control, arrow keys cannot be used to navigate menus, no mouse input is recognised and all comments from the developers about improving keyboard and mouse support I've seen while trying to solve issues are incredibly hostile.
